Memories of the 1970s

Hola Amigos,

I lived a total of 9 years in Spain (1971-80) and I have a whole lot of "popular culture" memories I wanna share with you. I'm sure these images ring a bell!!

Gaby, Fofo, Miliki y Fofito

Fofo

La musica de los payasos.

Hombre Rico, Hombre Pobre ("Rich Man, Poor Man.")

Remember "Los Hombres De Harrelson" (S.W.A.T.)?

La Casa De La Pradera ("Little House on the Prairee.")

El Cine Exin

Exin - Castles

Jueges Reunidos

Bimbovision (It came with the "Bimbo" cakes)

Super Tio Vivo

Remember that tv show "Curro Jimenez"?

Kiko Ledgard (Host of "Un Dos Tres")

'Un Dos Tres, Responda Otra Vez' - Remember this game show Friday nights?

The Fugitive

Sandokan - A huge show in the mid 1970s in Spain. The actor who played him (Kabir Bedi) visited Madrid during a promotional tour and his female fans caused a riot!

Miguel Bose

Richard Clayderman

Angela Carrasco

Camilo Sesto

The Icons of the 1970s: Leif Garrett, Kabir Bedi, Michael Landon etc

Montana Rusa ("Rollercoaster" - Another one of the 1970 "Sensurround" Disaster films ("Earthquake," "Midway") where the sound system in the theatre would shake the seats).

El Coloso En Llamas ("The Towering Inferno" - I remember seeing this in 1974 at the 'Cinerama Theatre' in Madrid).

Need I say more?

Marco: De Los Apeninos A Los Andes

La Abeja Maya

Vicky the Viking - I remember watching this show Monday evenings.

Mazinger Z - Shown every Saturday afternoon. We would share our thoughts on it Monday morning with our friends at "Numont School"

La Tortuga D'artagnan!

Mirinda

Anisitos

And Last but not Least Detergent!!

Special thanks to my old friend Michel Deschappelles for the "Gaby, Fofo, Miliki y Fofito" CD! It certainly brought back memories.
