'Runnys' Invade 'The Grill Club'

Dear Friends,

It seems like forever since we had our Last Supper, way back on the 28th of December. Some day for a prank! Instead of the lively, fun-hungry 14 of us who should have been there, less than half of the expected attendees showed up and the mood wasn't all that cheerful anyway. What a shame. But hey, we're all busy workers who aren't getting any younger, no matter how great Amer thinks we look judging from the pix, so it's only natural that by Thursday evening we aren't the happiest campers in town! (And thanks, Amer. Will we be seeing how good you look soon?!)

I think (so feel free to butt in), that perhaps we should start considering these gatherings on a Friday or a Saturday night, as we do for all our other "special events". At least to me these once-in-a-bluemoon-get-togethers are special, but then again, maybe I'm wrong. Just because some of us don't have any kids doesn't at all imply that we haven't got responsibilities, so don't walk me up that path either! It is my theory that the more rest we can get the following day, the better; more people would turn up and (this line isn't mine), the more, the merrier! It would also be nice if we could take turns in the organisation of these reunions, in alpabetical order, let's say, so that everyone could get to experience the numerous sensations involved.

Anyhow, it was lovely to see those of you who were there. Chris and Jens had to leave early but it was nice to learn their baby daughter is doing just fine and that they are, indeed, the delighted parents I suspected they would be. I must confess I do feel pity for Anil, who was left to host 5 women, but not just any 5... Haven't you seen the pictures?! We are precisely the ones who won't shut-up! What a hen-party it must have been for him! After the meal down-stairs, Anil's place has a cosy little lounge-bar above, where he treated us to drinks. Patient and generous! You really know how to pamper your guests!

So all in all, I hope that, like me, you would like to hook up again soon, only this time with a little more enthusiasm and a bit of a better preparation on everyone's behalf. Let's make sure that it really wasn't The Last Supper!
